VertiFarm 2024 looks to future of agriculture

From October 8 to 10, VertiFarm will be taking place to showcase an overview of the range of new possibilities of vertical farming, new food systems and controlled environment agriculture (CEA).

VertiFarm takes place at Messe Dortmund in Germany. The innovative solutions from market leaders, trendsetters and thought leaders in the sector will reflect the diverse new approaches, technologies and production potential for vegetables, fruit, salads, herbs and microgreens, fish and insect farming and the cultivation of medicinal plants.

Global players and interesting start-ups on the scene will be in Dortmund again this year, presenting their expertise and new products and applications across all segments.

New suppliers at VertiFarm

The product range on offer at VertiFarm will include offerings from new specialists including Air Supplies from the Netherlands, a global market leader in assimilation lighting for professional horticulture and indoor cultivation who will be presenting efficient lighting solutions, and Korean company Seoul Semiconductor Europe, one of the world’s largest LED manufacturers who will be showcasing LED products and technologies. Also of interest will be the offerings of start-ups OnlyGreens from Germany, specialising in growing racks for microgreens that can be controlled individually for energy-efficiency, and market entrant omni.farm with vertical farming systems using hydroponics, aeroponics and fogponics, through to urban farming and plug-and-play systems.

International industry expertise

Also at the show will be Würth Elektronik eiSos, another supplier of components for horticulture LED lighting. The German supplier is working proactively to help technology pioneers develop innovative lighting systems. Also attending will be Swedish supplier WIVID, which develops and produces energy-saving horticultural lighting fixtures. INDO Lighting from the UK will provide an information update on lighting systems for optimum growth. VertiFarm will also feature Norwegian company Avisomo AS, which offers products for establishing plant factories and cultivation facilities using nutrient solutions. German start-up greenhub solutions will be explaining data mining technology for indoor farming.

Supporting programme

Messe Dortmund is once again putting on a supporting programme at VertiFarm 2024. As well as experts in the agricultural sector, science and industry and representatives of various start-ups, exhibitors also have the opportunity to contribute to keynote talks and specialist presentations
